Shaylin's Birthday Party

August 15th

We had Shaylin's birthday party at her Grandma and Grandpa Brugman's house (Jayna's parents) this year. Shaylin loves to swim, so she was all for doing a swim party. It was a lot of fun and we really appreciated all those who came and celebrated with us. We're so thankful to have such wonderful friends and family close by.

Shaylin was so excited while she opened her presents and loved EVERYTHING. She wanted to stop and wear everything that was wearable in the middle of opening presents. Thank you to all of those who got her some wonderful gifts. They were much appreciated.


Shaylin's friend, Maycie gave her the cutest tutu we had all ever seen! Miranda, Maycie's mom made it. Of course Shaylin LOVED it and put it on immediately. As she had a 10 second break in between opening presents, she would stand up and twirl around and then sit down again to open presents. It was cute. Miranda also made a cute necklace to go with it, that Shaylin is also wearing.


Another present that Shaylin had a lot of fun with and had to carry around for DAYS after was her Disney Princess sleeping bag which has nice straps like a big purse to make it easier to carry around.


We had a lot of little helpers/friends giving Shaylin the presents and making sure the presents were okay. All the kids would say, "Oh, what is it?" before every present. It was cute.


Jaylene (Jayna's mom) made Shaylin's birthday cake and it turned out great! She has been making cakes ever since her kids were little, so Jayna asked her to make the cake. Shaylin loved it and loves flip flops. It was just as delicious as it looks, as all Jaylene's cakes are.


Shaylin was very excited to blow out the candles on her cake. She always sees everyone else blow them out on their birthday's and she was excited to have her chance.
