Penguins, Dolphins, and Killer Whales

This past weekend (actually Friday - Wednesday) we went to California to visit Matt's Grandma who lives in Orange and Jayna's grandparents who live in Glendale. As always we took a lot of pictures, so we'll plan on breaking the trip out into seperate posts.

While we were there we visited one of our favorite places - Sea World. It was the third time we've been in the last couple years. We saw the penguins, sharks, freshwater fish, dolphins, killer whales, and even the pet show with dogs, cats, and pigs. This was Shaylin's first time at Sea World and she enjoyed seeing all the animals. During the dolphin and killer whale shows she just kept saying 'whoooa....whoooa.' Of course we have plenty of photographic evidence from the visit.

They had some gardens there as well and we enjoyed looking at the plants and flowers almost as much as we enjoyed seeing all of the animals.

Part of the reason we took this picture was to get the bird of paradise plant in the background. It's one of our favorite plants that they have all over in California but there aren't as many here in AZ.

Jayna making Shaylin laugh...

Shaylin really liked the penguins. We went through the exhibit on the little conveyer belt twice in a row and she probably would have been happy if we just kept doing that all day.

No Sea World visit would be complete without seeing the Shamu show. Jayna got some good pictures at that show as well as the dolphin show...
