June Update

These pictures are from June 2-8. Most of them are just random pictures of the girls either at home, the Brugman's, or at Jaycob's (Jayna's brother) baseball game.

June 2nd

Emmalyn is about 2 1/2 months in this picture and is turning into a smiling and happy baby, just like Shaylin was...

It's funny how wide-eyed she got from looking at the huge black camera. She has become pretty well acquainted with it now...

Later on that day we went to Jaycob's summer baseball game. Jayson (Jayna's younger brother) came home from Missouri for the summer, where he was going to school and playing baseball at UCM. We went to the Brugman's to see Jayson and then we all went to Jaycob's game that afternoon.

Emmalyn roasting her hiney off at the game. She doesn't look too thrilled to be outside in this picture. Actually it wasn't too bad in the shade and we didn't stay too long, because it was pretty warm outside.

One of the mom's at the game let Shaylin play with her squirt bottle, which she enjoyed very much. She went around squirting everyone including herself, which helped her to keep cool.

Here's another one of the girls at the game. Shaylin's face gets so red whenever she is outside, even if it's not for a long time...

June 3rd

They have worn matching clothes to church before, but this was their first matching outfit that wasn't a dress. Shaylin had been wearing these clothes for a little while, but this was the first time we tried the outfit on Emmalyn. It was a 6 month outfit and we were surprised to find out it was a little tight on her. In fact she's not going to be able to wear the shorts for much longer. Why do they make girls shorts so tight around the waist?! Her poor belly is squished.

June 6th

Okay, it might be boring to see yet another matching outfit, but Jayna figured since the other one was so tight on Emmalyn already she better try on some of her other older clothes. We bought two matching outfits around the time that Emmalyn was born and this is the other one. This is one of Shaylin's favorite shirts. She calls it the 'apple' shirt, because it has a pineapple on it.

We don't usually let her sit on the Brugman's coffee table and we're not really sure why she is, but Jaymee (Jayna's little sister) took this picture. Shaylin was caught in the act...

June 7th

Matt went on a camp out with the scouts and came home the next afternoon with a bag full of ladybugs that the scouts had caught for our garden! It was crazy how many were in the bag. After this Shaylin and Matt went to let the ladybugs go in our backyard in hopes that they would hang around and help control the pesky insects in our gardens.

June 8th

Cute little Emmalyn all ready for church...
