Long Time No See...

In July we went on our big summer vacation. Our first stop was Pocatello, ID - for the Hedges family reunion on July 17. The next stop was Highland, UT to hang out with Matt's parents for a week from July 18-25. Our last stop was Duck Creek, UT for the Olsen (Matt's mom's side) family reunion for about a week, from July 26-July 31. We'll break out the trip into a few posts, heavy on the pictures and light on the writing, as usual.

Matt's Uncle Rick and Aunt Linda were nice enough to let us stay at their house in Henderson, NV the first night of our trip to help break up the drive. When we were getting ready to leave the girls really wanted to 'ride' their Jet Ski's, so we took a picture while they were riding one.

We were able to spend a little extra time with Matt's grandparents - Grandma and Grandpa Hedges after the reunion in Pocatello. They have always been awesome grandparents and we loved getting to spend time with them. We were grateful to know as we were leaving that families are eternal and regardless of how many more family reunions they're around for here on earth we have an eternity of family reunions waiting for us!

Like children tend to do, Emmalyn is growing up so fast. Even though she's going through a bit of the terrible twos lately she is still a good girl most of the time and has such a fun personality. She can always make us laugh! She picked up 'na-na-na-na-na ooh (you) can't catch me' while we were on our trip and it's still one of her favorite sayings before she starts running around the house pretending that something or someone is chasing her (usually 'goggies' which translated to English means doggies).

Here she is at Thanksgiving Point Farm near Matt's parent's house...

One of the best things about staying up at Matt's parents house for our kids was not only getting to spend time with their grandparents but also getting to hang out with their cousins. They can't get enough of them and it's pretty much non stop fun and laughing for them as they run around together. Although we're not quite sure about Emmalyn and Jessica yet. They're both a little mischievous on their own but we're quickly learning that their powers combined could be trouble for years to come. Here's Jayna and Becca with the kids at the farm...

Fun pictures! We just took Tucker to the Farm last week and he had a lot of fun. Mainly he liked throwing food at the animals, but the animals didn't really like all the food tucker was throwing at their faces :)
