Fun Stuff/ Visit from Ashley and Dominic

July 11th

Along with swimming at the Brugman's pool, Shaylin and Emmalyn have also been swimming in our little play pool in the backyard. It is probably more fun for Emmalyn to wade around in the small pool and definitely a lot less worrisome for us.

July 13th

Our great friend Ashley came to visit us the 13th and 14th with her cute son Dominic. Unfortunately Dave had to stay home working so we didn't get to see him, but we had a great time with Ashley and Dominic. Shaylin and Emmalyn loved getting to play with Dominic.

When Emmalyn woke up from her nap on the 13th, she came out of her crib looking like this! It was so funny and she had never done this before. Apparently she didn't want her shirt on and this was as far as she could get. She wasn't too happy when I put her down, taking pictures, and laughing at her immediately after waking up but it had to be done.

After dinner and before bath time, Emmalyn and Dominic played in our little play room upstairs while Matt and Shaylin made a quick run to Walmart. (now with Walmart very close by, we seem to always be making 'quick' runs)

It was hard to get a great picture, but it was still cute of them in their diapers 'playing basketball' together.


During their half time break playing basketball, they decided to jam out on the piano.


July 14th

Dominic was such a good sport letting Shaylin give him a tight hug. They were playing together under the kitchen table. All of them got along so well, and it was so much fun to have them stay with us. We hope to see them soon and we miss them! Hopefully Dave can make it out next time!
