In July we went to Pocatello, ID for the annual Hedges family reunion. Matt's grandparents are getting a little older so for the last several years we've been doing it in the big park/common area behind their house. As always it was really nice to spend a few hours catching up with aunts, uncles, cousins, and all the other relatives. We also do family pictures, lunch, and have games for the kids. Here's a few pictures:

They had a 'train' come to the park which consisted of a four wheeler pulling about five of these cars. It was a pretty good idea and the kids loved it. This is a picture of Shaylin when we first put her in the back car with her cousin Christian. She was not happy...
But after her first ride she had a constant smile on her face whether she was riding it or waiting in line to ride it again. She was really disappointed when the guy driving the train finally left...

After the reunion we always do a little talent show for the different families to showcase their talents. Shaylin wanted to get up with her cousins and sing, so Jayna and Becca went up with them to sing 'I love to see the temple.' It was really cute that Shaylin wanted to sing and all the kids did a great job!

After the talent show we went back to the Soderquist's (Matt's aunt and uncle) house and broke out the giant slip and slide that we did last year and will hopefully become an annual tradition. Shaylin only went down the slide once (she's not a big fan) but she did have fun playing around in her swimsuit...

That family reunion totally reminds me of the one that Cameron's family does every 3 years. His grandfather's family is in charge this year (so, us.) and I just got some good ideas!
