By now most of you probably know that one of our favorite pastimes is gardening. A subsequent favorite pastime is eating the food out of the garden. This past winter we tried growing broccoli for the first time, and it did very well. We planted 5 plants so we got 5 big broccoli stalks. This is the first one we harvested and was probably the biggest. Shaylin loved holding it and later telling her Uncle Jayson all about how she ate the broccoli from her garden. We are happy that she is excited about the garden and that she will grow up having one. We have been very blessed!
We took a bunch of different 'poses' with Shaylin and some with Emmalyn of 'The Broccoli'.

It's kind of hard to tell but in the picture below you can get an idea of how big each broccoli plant is - you can actually see three of them here...

Okay, once we move out to AZ you guys need to help us landscape our backyard and help us out with a garden since you guys have the best greenthumbs I've ever seen!
