It was nice this year, because our tree actually fit and we were able to put our star on top of it. In our last house it was a little too tall so the top part of the tree was always angled on the ceiling.

It was hard to find a place for our village and other decorations, so our piano was turned into a display table...hey, it works.
The next two are just of the front and back of our house. We know what you're thinking - probably something along the lines of 'Man, I hope they didn't spend a lot of time putting those up.' :) It's hard to see the lights in the pictures, but don't be fooled, they are as sparse as they look because we didn't go too crazy this year. The lights in the backyard are actually more for protecting the frost sensitive plants but they also happen to make our backyard look more festive. After having a lot of our trees and plants die in the cold winter last year we found out that Christmas lights are supposed to provide enough warmth to protect plants through the winter. Hopefully it works!
