Sleeping Beauty

May 9th-

For Easter, Jayna's mom gave Shaylin tickets to go see this cute Sleeping Beauty play at the Hale Center Theatre in Gilbert. One of the Young Women in Jayna's parents ward was in the play, which is how we found out about it. It was fun to see her perform. She was one of the good fairies and did a great job. Jayna, Matt, Shaylin, and Jaymee (Jayna's younger sister) all went and it was so much fun. .Jayna's parents watched Emmalyn for us, so we could enjoy it with Shaylin. It was a very nice little theatre and we are hoping to get back out there in a couple months to see Beauty and the Beast!

Shaylin had been so excited to see 'Sleeping Beauty' for weeks and weeks. We sat front row, which is so close that the actors almost step on your feet and they talk to you through out the play. She did get scared in the beginning when 'fairy meanie' (which was their version of the mean witch from the movie) came out, because it was dark with thunder and lightning sounds, but she enjoyed the rest of it for the most part. A big thanks to Jaylene for the tickets!

After the show the actors line up and you can go meet them and take pictures with them, which was really neat. These were the good fairies if you couldn't tell...Fairy Sunbeam, Fairy Moonbeam, and Fairy ???(Can't remember!). Our friend Mckenzie is the orange one.


Shaylin was her usual shy self and was a little timid about taking pictures with the actors. We weren't sure if she would cooperate, but hey at least she wasn't crying. Here is Jaymee and Shaylin with Sleeping Beauty. She wouldn't take a picture with any other actors, but we talked her into taking a quick picure with the fairies and Sleeping Beautie.


Here is a picture of the outside of the fun little theatre. Everything was so nice inside! A lot of the little girls we saw there were all dressed up in princess dresses. It was cute. On the way home we stopped by Cafe Rio for a lunch with Shaylin to end off our fun afternoon.
