Emmalyn is 1 Year Old

March 20th

It's been a full month now since we celebrated Emmalyn's birthday, so it's about time we posted about it. We can't believe she is already over 1 year old. She's growing up so fast and we were just thinking about how sad it is that she's not a baby anymore. She adores Shaylin and follows her around doing whatever she's doing all the time. They make such cute little sisters.

So here's a few pictures from her one year birthday party. We just had family come over to our house for a barbecue and some cupcakes for the party. Someday we'll have the girl's friends over for a birthday party, but since we have so much family close by it's been easier for now to just have family over.

The 'theme' for the party was Pink-a-licious, which is actually one of Shaylin's favorite books. Since Emmalyn wasn't too concerned about what the 'theme' of her one year old party was, we decided to go with something that Shaylin would be excited about.

We were lucky enough to have Matt's parents in town for the party as well as Jayna's parents and grandparents (Roy and Nilsa). We didn't do a good job of taking pictures of everybody though since we were busy hosting everyone. Here's one we got of Emmalyn with her grandma Jaylene...

Emmalyn had a lot of fun opening up all the presents. A big thanks to all the nice gifts from everyone who came!

After Emmalyn had opened all of her presents some of the family went out and roasted marshmallows in our backyard...
