Every year the Hedges side of the family gets together on a Saturday during the summer for a reunion. Usually it's in Pocatello, ID, as it was this year. As always, it was a lot of fun to get to see all the cousins and catch up with everybody. Matt's one of the youngest cousins on this side of the family, so most of the other cousins are already married and at least starting to have kids. There was good food for everybody and lots of games and snow cones for the kids.

Here's the whole extended extended family. There's 21 living grandkids and we're not sure exactly how many great grandkids we're up to, but we think it's something like 45.
Shaylin's favorite game was probably the one where she got to run around squirting everybody with one of the squirt bottles. As you can see she might even be enjoying it a little too much.
Grandpa Hedges also thoroughly enjoyed spraying everybody as they walked by and then acting nonchalant when they tried to figure out where the water was coming from.
She also enjoyed just hanging out in the little swimming pool and collecting the marbles out of the water.
Here's Matt racing his cousin Clint down the slip and slide. They were actually going so far that they had to add another regular slip and slide at the end of this one.

The actual reunion was only about four hours long, but Matt's cousins - the Soderquist's - had the great idea of setting up a giant slip and slide and having a bunch of us come over to their house to have some more fun.

Shaylin absolutely loved this little car that they had. We now know what we need to get her for her birthday!
Curt (Matt's dad) was nice enough to get us a hotel room for the two nights we were in Idaho that was just down the street from where the reunion was. It was Emmalyn and Shaylin's first time in a hotel. Emmalyn slept fine but Shaylin ended up sleeping in our bed (for the first time ever) because she didn't do well in the pack and play.
